Rebecca Cumberbatch brings a deep understanding of both education and the law to her practice as a special education attorney. Before entering the legal field, she worked as a middle school English teacher and administrator, where she implemented Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans in inclusion classes and taught reading intervention.
Rebecca earned her J.D. from the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law, where she was recognized with the Public Service Award for her commitment to advocacy and community engagement. Following law school, she served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Kevin Mahoney of the Harford County Circuit Court.
Her practice is informed by firsthand experience in the classroom and a strong foundation in public service, allowing her to navigate complex education issues with insight and precision.
